Accepting these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with Quality Concord Concrete, a concrete contractor in Concord, NC. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them.
If a written estimate or contract we sign with you for a specific job says something different from these terms, the signed document controls for that job. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site. You can still contact us to ask a question first.
What we do
We pour and finish concrete for homes and properties in Concord and the cities around it. That includes driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings, retaining walls and decorative work. The home page lists our services, and our About page tells you more about how we work.
Descriptions, photos and general information on this site help you understand the work. They aren't a promise of a particular result on your property, because every site has its own soil, slope and drainage. What we'll do on your job is set out in your written estimate or agreement.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, given in person, and come with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day, along with the size, thickness, finish and access you've asked for.
Some things only show up once we dig out, such as soft or wet ground under the slab, buried roots, old concrete, or debris that has to be hauled off. If we find something like that, we'll stop, explain it, and agree any change in price with you before we do the extra work.
Prices on an estimate hold for the period written on it. After that, material and hauling costs can change, so we may need to update the figure before scheduling.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We give you a pour date once you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so heavy rain, freezing temperatures or extreme heat can push your date back. We won't pour in conditions that would weaken the finished slab, and we'll reschedule with you as soon as conditions allow.
If you need to cancel or move your date, please call us at (980) 255-3818 or reach us through the contact page as early as you can. Once forms are set or concrete is ordered, you may be charged for work already done and materials already bought, as stated in your agreement.
We may need to reschedule for reasons outside our control, such as supplier delays, equipment trouble or a site that isn't ready. We'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new date with you.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written on your estimate or agreement. Please read them before you sign.
If a payment is late, we may pause remaining work until it's settled. You're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance, to the extent North Carolina law allows.
Your part in the job
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, to tell us about anything you know is buried there, such as sprinkler lines, septic parts or private utility lines, and to confirm property lines if they matter for the job. Who arranges any permit the work needs will be set out in your written agreement.
New concrete needs time to cure, meaning it has to sit and harden before it can take weight. You agree to follow the curing and use instructions we give you, including keeping people, pets and vehicles off the slab for the time we tell you. Damage caused by using the concrete too early isn't our responsibility.
What concrete can and can't do
We're licensed and fully insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it.
Concrete shrinks as it dries and moves with the ground under it, so small hairline cracks can show up even on a well-built slab. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the concrete a place to crack in a straight line, to keep most cracking where we chose. Hairline cracks, small color differences between pours, and normal surface wear aren't defects.
Our work doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as tree roots, ground movement or settling of soil we didn't prepare, water from gutters or drainage changed after the job, deicing salts, heavy equipment the slab wasn't built for, or repairs made by someone else.
Apart from what's written in these terms and your signed agreement, we make no other promises, stated or implied, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent North Carolina law allows, Quality Concord Concrete isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses connected to our work or this website, such as lost use of your property, lost income or inconvenience. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
If we disagree
Most problems get sorted out with a phone call, so please call us first at (980) 255-3818 and tell us what's wrong. We'll come out, look at it with you, and work toward a fair fix.
If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before filing a lawsuit. If that doesn't resolve it, either of us may take the matter to the courts of North Carolina.
Governing law
These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Changes don't alter an estimate or agreement you've already signed.
Questions about these terms can go to us through the contact page or by phone at (980) 255-3818. We're available Mon–Fri: 6 AM–11 PM, Sat–Sun: 7 AM–11 PM, and we reply within 1 business day.
